24 June - 12.12

Well, everything's packed and we're about to head off to get on the coach. I've had a bit of a practice, nothing too serious, but I'm confident that with a few bottles of Brothers' cider and a chat with el Wax, it will all come flooding back.

If you want to find us there, look for the large 'EFL' flag. The Other Stage will be roughly facing it we hope. And see you at the Stones on Sunday night! There will be video up here if you can't make it for whatever reason. Keep it real peoples.

6 June – 11.12

Yes, yes, the rumours are true. EFL will be playing the headline set at Glasto this year. After a 36-year hiatus, El Waxo de Testiculari Dnune and I will be hitting the Stones somewhere between 12.30 and 1 to rehash the classics and maybe do a couple of new ones. We're looking forward to seeing you (yes, you) there.

I'm trying not to think about the fact that about 4 hours after we finish, I'll have to start hiking to the coach station....

27 April – 14.10

The world is a strange place today. People, places, weather; all seem designed to prevent me from settling and getting my head around just what’s going on. MS Word won’t let me switch out of italics. For anyone with 20/20 vision, there’s no way to explain the feeling of walking around in the world without glasses or contacts. It’s like the thickest fog has descended and everyone else but you seems to have sat-nav and GPS. It’s like being in a foreign country on your own. Doing that while hung over on a rainy Sunday morning, well, that’s a recipe for strangeness.

So, almost a year since the last time I posted here (in which I said I would be doing so regularly) I’m posting again. And I’ll be doing so regularly. To whomever it may concern, I’m now living with Siri in a basement flat in Finsbury Park, grinding away at the office job and acting grown up. Even bought a television together the other day – it’s a 32” behemoth and it’s pretty much eating the living room. We have to ask its permission if we want to come in. The football looks really good though.

Right, band news. The bad is that the talent that is Andy Dunne is still on t’other side of t’world. The good is that he’s jetting back before too well, and may well be spending some time living here with his lady friend. The even better is that there’s an outhouse-type job at the end of our garden, which will, at some indeterminate point in the future, become the Awesome Recording Studio. So, as ever, big things in the pipeline etc etc. If anyone’s still watching this space, well...keep watching it.
